Inches matter. Both in life and in Fantasy Football.

Sources

This is a projection model, not a data provider. Everything below belongs to somebody else and is used to build the numbers on this site; the projections, tiers and rankings are the only original work here.

Data

what each upstream provides

nflverseCC BY 4.0

Play-by-play, weekly player stats, snap counts, participation and personnel, rosters, depth charts, injuries, schedules, draft picks, PFR advanced stats and FTN charting. Nearly every number on this site is downstream of it.

SleeperPublic API, unofficial

Player master data, current roster status and injury designations, and the depth-chart field used as a fallback where nflverse has not listed a player.

CollegeFootballDataFree tier, non-commercial. Attribution requested.

College production, usage and PPA, SP+ ratings and team talent composites. Everything behind the College Credit rookie score.

Fantasy Football CalculatorPublic API

Historical and current mock-draft ADP across scoring formats and league sizes, 2018 onward.

ESPNPublic endpoints, unofficial

Preseason schedules, box scores and pre-game lines back to 2002 — results, spreads and who played, none of which exists in nflverse — plus team news feeds. Factual match data only: ESPN's own fantasy projections are used privately to check this model and are not published here.

Consulted, not republished

benchmarks this model is checked against

These two are read while building and testing the model, but their rankings are their product rather than ours, so they are deliberately left off this site. If you want them, go to the people who make them.

FantasyPros

Expert consensus rankings, used privately as the harder benchmark to check this model against. Historically ECR beats it at every position, which is worth knowing and is not shown here.

Draft Sharks

Republished Underdog and Yahoo ADP orderings, read privately to see where a different pool of drafters takes a player.

Beat reporting

32 outlets, polled for injury and role news

Each outlet’s public RSS feed is read to grade injury severity and detect role changes. What the model keeps is a number — a severity grade and an event type, computed when the article is classified. Headline, reporter and a link are shown so the credit and the click go to whoever did the work; the article’s own text is not carried onto this site, and nothing here is a substitute for reading the report.

Standing on

how to read the numbers

  • A projection is flatter than reality on purpose. These are conditional expectations, so their spread is narrower than the outcomes they predict. That is what they are for, not a defect.
  • Sample sizes are stated where they are thin. Several constants rest on a few dozen players, and the pages that use them say so rather than presenting a number with false confidence.
  • Not affiliated with the NFL or with any outlet listed above.
